Our programs use a people-first approach to serve those who need our help through our work in Norwalk, CT. We focus on serving our neighbors, funding initiatives to build connection and community, and advocating for affordable housing and childcare to make a positive difference in the lives of families.
We currently have three programs working toward our lofty mission.
The Marvin for Older Adults
The Marvin provides congregate housing for older adults aged 62 and over. Congregate housing is appropriate for many older citizens who need occasional help but do not need the breadth of services available at a nursing home.
The Marvin Children’s Center
The Marvin Children’s Center is a full-day, full-year program serving 40 three- and four-year-old children. It offers affordable childcare that prepares children for kindergarten.
Connecting Generations Program
Both The Marvin’s residents and the children in the preschool program gain long-lasting benefits from sharing time together – providing enriched experiences not found in traditional low-income housing or preschool facilities.
